Sony Trinitron 13 inch CRT television
Small Trinitron CRTs have been pulled back into demand by retro gamers who want a period-correct screen for older consoles. Size, working condition and which inputs it has decide the price, and big heavy sets are still hard to move.
Estimated resale range (used)
$30 – $90
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.
What matters when you check it
- Plug it in and photograph it showing a picture, ideally with a console attached, since untested sets sell for much less.
- Note the exact model number from the back label and which inputs it offers, as composite, S-video or component change the value.
- Check for screen burn, discoloured corners and a chipped bezel, and mention the weight because shipping is impractical.
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
