Wusthof Classic 8 inch chef's knife
A forged German chef's knife that keeps a strong secondhand following. Value rests almost entirely on the blade being straight, unrusted and not ground away by years of pull-through sharpeners.
Estimated resale range (used)
$45 – $80
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.

What matters when you check it
- Sight down the blade edge against a light — a curve or a big dip from sharpening means it is a user, not a reseller
- Check where the blade meets the handle for cracks, dark gaps or rust stains in the bolster
- Confirm the Wusthof Classic marking on the blade face so it is not confused with the cheaper stamped lines
- Look for deep pitting or black spots along the edge — light patina is fine, rust is not
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
