CorningWare Blue Cornflower 1.5 quart casserole

The white pyroceram casserole with the blue cornflower pattern, a wedding-gift staple from the 1960s and 70s. Prices hinge on size, whether the glass lid is still with it, and the condition of the rim. Single dishes sell steadily; sets and rare sizes do better.

Estimated resale range (used)

$15 – $35

A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.

What matters when you check it

  • Run a thumbnail around the rim and handles for chips or hairline cracks, which drop it to a few dollars
  • Check the base stamp reads CorningWare with the size marking; unmarked lookalikes sell for much less
  • Look for grey dishwasher etching and dull patches on the white surface, which collectors avoid

Where the number comes from

Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.

Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
