Kitchen
Le Creuset 5.5 quart round Dutch oven, flame orange
The classic enamelled cast iron round oven in the signature orange, a common and valuable find in cleared kitchens. Buyers pay for a clean interior and an intact lid; stained or chipped pots still sell but as everyday users. Colour and size both move the number.
Estimated resale range (used)
$120 – $200
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.
What matters when you check it
- Shine a torch inside: crazed, chipped or heavily browned enamel means a user pot, not a collector piece
- Check the lid sits flat, the rim is chip-free and both side handles are intact
- Look for the Le Creuset stamp and the size number on the base; unmarked enamelled iron sells far lower
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
