Wilson Jack Kramer Autograph wooden tennis racket
The Jack Kramer Autograph was one of the best-selling wooden rackets ever, so they turn up often. Clean frames with intact strings and the original grip sell as decor; cracked or warped frames are close to worthless.
Estimated resale range (used)
$20 – $50
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.
What matters when you check it
- Sight down the shaft and check the frame for cracks, delamination and warping before listing
- Note the string bed condition and whether the original leather grip and butt cap are still present
- Look for a period press or cover, which adds value, and read the throat for the model name
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
