Vintage wooden canoe paddle, 5 feet
A five-foot wooden paddle, usually ash or maple, that sells as cabin decor about as often as it sells to someone who actually paddles. Cracks, delamination at the blade tip and heavy varnish wear are what buyers inspect first.
Estimated resale range (used)
$25 – $60
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.

What matters when you check it
- Run a hand along both faces for cracks, delamination at the blade tip, and splits where the blade meets the shaft.
- Check the grip for cracks or wobble and measure the overall length and blade width before listing.
- Note whether the varnish is flaking or has been heavily sanded, since an original finish and a maker's stamp add value.
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
