Vintage Coach black leather handbag, 1990s
A plain black leather Coach shoulder bag from the nineties, the kind of sturdy bag that resurfaces in closets. Older full-grain leather examples with a readable creed patch sell well; scuffed corners, ink stains and missing straps pull the price down.
Estimated resale range (used)
$50 – $120
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.
What matters when you check it
- Look inside for the leather creed patch and serial number; newer or fake bags are marked differently.
- Check the strap, corners and edges for cracking, and look for ink stains or scuffs on the leather.
- Test the turnlock or zipper and note tarnish or flaking on the hardware, which buyers ask about.
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
