Furniture
Vintage chrome and Formica kitchen table, 1950s
The patterned dinette table with chrome edging and angled legs. These are back in demand for retro kitchens and small dining spaces, and the price swings on the pattern, the chrome condition and whether the top is original.
Estimated resale range (used)
$90 – $220
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.
What matters when you check it
- Check the laminate top for burns, knife cuts, lifting at the edges and fading from sun.
- Look over the chrome legs and trim for pitting and rust, especially near the floor caps.
- Make sure the legs are tight and the table sits level — loose or repaired leg mounts are common.
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
