- Check the webbing for cracks, fraying and sagging — re-webbing kits exist but buyers factor the cost in.
- Open and fold each chair to test the hinges and look for bends or crushed tube ends.
- Look for pitting and white corrosion on the aluminum, and confirm all four chairs match.
