Revere Ware copper-bottom 2 quart saucepan with lid
Copper-bottom Revere Ware is a staple of older kitchens and still sells to people who intend to cook with it rather than collect it. The copper layer and handle style indicate the era, and heavy tarnish or a burnt interior knocks the price down.
Estimated resale range (used)
$15 – $40
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.
What matters when you check it
- Set the pan on a flat worktop to check the base, since a warped copper bottom makes poor contact on modern hobs.
- Check the handle and rivets for looseness or a cracked grip, which is the usual failure on these pans.
- Note whether the copper has worn through to the steel in the centre, which shortens the pan's useful life.
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
