Nancy Drew hardcover mystery books, 1950s-60s, lot of 6

Blue-tweed and yellow-spine Nancy Drew mysteries are in every attic, but they still sell in small lots to readers and nostalgia buyers. The 1950s and 60s revised texts with dust jackets are the copies that bring real money.

Estimated resale range (used)

$20 – $45

A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.

What matters when you check it

  • List the exact titles and note whether each is an early original-text edition or a later revised one.
  • Note whether dust jackets are present, and whether the front flap lists other titles in the series.
  • Check spines for loose hinges, crayon marks and musty smell, all of which cut value sharply.

Where the number comes from

Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.

Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
