Mad Magazine back issues, 1970s, lot of 15
A stack of 1970s Mad issues, the kind of thing that survives in a closet for decades. Single issues are cheap; lots sell to collectors filling gaps, with early-1970s issues worth more than late ones.
Estimated resale range (used)
$20 – $50
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.

What matters when you check it
- Sort by date and pull out anything from before about 1975; earlier issues are worth more than late-70s ones.
- Check for water damage, torn covers, filled-in puzzles and missing fold-ins or inserts.
- Note whether they are full-size magazines or the smaller Mad paperbacks, since the two sell differently.
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
