Little Golden Books children's picture books, lot of 20
The small gold-spined picture books found in every childhood bedroom. Most copies are common and worn, so they sell as a decorative lot for a nursery shelf or to a reseller; only unusual titles or early editions get checked one by one.
Estimated resale range (used)
$15 – $35
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.
What matters when you check it
- Look for the foil spine and check the copyright page — early printings from the 1940s and 1950s are worth more than 1970s reprints.
- Note tears, crayon marks, loose pages and missing back covers, which are normal but cut the price.
- Pull out any Disney or well-known animal titles and check those individually before selling the rest as a lot.
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
