What matters when you check it
- Run it through a few seconds of chopping to confirm the motor and switches work normally
- Check that the work bowl, lid, feed tube and both chopping and slicing discs are all present
- Inspect the bowl and lid for cracks, cloudy plastic or broken locking tabs
