1980s rock cassette tapes, lot of 30
A shoebox of 1980s rock cassettes, usually found in a closet or garage. Sold as a lot they move slowly; value comes from a few desirable titles and whether the tapes still play without stretching or squealing.
Estimated resale range (used)
$15 – $40
A ballpark, not a quote. Condition moves this number a lot, and so does who turns up to buy it. It isn't an appraisal and it isn't a dealer's offer.

What matters when you check it
- Spot-check a few tapes in a working deck to make sure they do not squeal, drag or unspool before you list the lot.
- Separate out any still-sealed or well-known titles; the rest are filler that mostly adds weight rather than value.
- Check the cases for cracked hinges and whether the paper j-cards and lyric inserts are still present.
Where the number comes from
Watching what these go for, not a record of sales. The range is a judgement call from what the same thing fetches secondhand. When an item has real sources behind it, they'll be printed here with the date they were checked.
Before you sell anything, look at sold prices rather than asking prices. Asking prices are wishes; sold prices are evidence.
